In these photos you will see where we removed an "under construction" railing and installed a hardwood floor in the hall. We then constructed an oak railing system using iron balusters. The stairs were builder grade pine box stairs. We sanded, stained and, applied polyurethane to them to give the look of expensive steps while on a modest budget.
